Family Math Night Wed. Feb. 27

Mark your calendars! Family Math Night is coming! WHEN:​ Wednesday, February 27, 5:30-7:00 PM

WHERE:​ Northwood Commons-Start in the commons and then head to classrooms for math strategy sessions.

WHO is INVITED?:​ You and your Northwood student(s)- please note that this is not a drop-off event.

WHAT (is Family Math Night?):​ Family Math NIght is a chance for you and your child to learn about some great math strategies side-by-side. You start your evening with a pizza dinner in the MPR and then you head to classrooms where you will be led in two math strategy sessions. There will be a “math talk” taught by some of our staff and then a chance for you and your child to practice the strategy before heading off to your next session where you and your student will learn important mathematical growth mindset strategies and practice high level thinking through games or tasks. The evening will conclude with cookies, a survey, and a raffle - great estimation skills might win a prize!
