Student Representatives to the Board

STUDENT BOARD REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

Student Representatives to the School Board serve a two-year term as a liaison between the Board of Directors and the MIHS student body to elevate student voice.

Student representatives attend at least the first monthly regular meeting of the Board, participate in monthly Superintendent Student Advisory meetings and in weekly meetings with MIHS administration, and represent the District at state conventions and legislative assemblies. Student representatives may cast advisory votes on most matters decided by the Board

Student representatives report to the Board on activities and events in district schools, bring the MIHS student perspective on issues and policies affecting the student body into board discussions, and serve as a liaison between MIHS Student Senate and the Board.
