Cristina Martinez Bio

Cristina Martinez, born in Mexico City, earned her M.D. degree from Anahuac University, Mexico. She further pursued a Master's in Public Health at the University of Minnesota, specializing in Public Health Practice and Cultural Competency. Her commitment to excellence is demonstrated by her membership in the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health.

With a diverse professional background, Cristina seamlessly transitioned from her role as a Public Health Consultant, focusing on underserved communities and health education, to contributing as an early childhood educator. Her dedication extends to advisory and council boards at the federal and local government levels, non-profit organizations, health care organizations, and most recently at MISD, showcasing her influence in shaping public health and education policies.

Over the past decade in the Pacific Northwest, Cristina's community service, notably with the local PTA, has flourished, earning her a volunteer award from Island Park Elementary, and she has also served at the MI PTA Council. Beyond her professional roles, Cristina actively engaged in environmental and community initiatives, having served as a Nature docent at Seattle Parks, participated in Green Team initiatives at MI PTA, and coached volleyball at the MI Boys & Girls Club.

Apart from her responsibilities, Cristina enjoys the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest while living happily with her husband and two children, who are enrolled in MISD.
