Superintendent Student Advisory
Purpose
The Superintendent's Student Advisory (SSA) is a representative student body which meets approximately eight times during the school year. SSA members share student perspectives at meetings and represent the voice of students on issues and policies that directly affect the student body.
Meetings
Meetings for 2023-2024 will be held in the MISD Administration Building boardroom from 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) on 10/4/23 (MIHS Library 3:30-4:30 p.m.), 11/1/23, 12/6/23 (MIHS Library), 1/3/24, 2/7/24, 3/6/24, 4/3/24, 5/1/24, 5/2/24 (linkage session with School Board, 5:00-6:00 p.m.), and 6/5/24.

Membership
Membership in the SSA is appointed and is comprised of the following:
- Student representatives from each MISD school, grades 5-12
- four representatives from each grade 9-12
- two representatives from each grade 6-8
- two representatives from each elementary school in grade 5
- Student Representatives to the Board
- MISD Superintendent
How to Apply
The Superintendent is seeking applicants to serve on the Superintendent Student Advisory (SSA) during the 2024-2025 school year. Students who are current 9th, 10th or 11th graders at MIHS or are currently in 6th or 7th grade at IMS are eligible to apply.
To be considered for the SSA, please complete and submit the following application materials by the deadline.
MIHS - Applications for the 2024-25 school year have closed. They will reopen for freshmen applicants in the fall.
