Superintendent Community Advisory
Purpose
The Superintendent's Community Advisory ("SCA") is a representative body that will communicate on a variety of topics related to the District. Meetings are generally held three times during the school year.

Role
The role of SCA members will be to:
- Advise the Superintendent on issues/decisions and/or policy matters that the District is facing
- Be informed about the background, rationale, and decision-making processes made by the District throughout the year as issues arise
- Communicate issues and concerns raised by various stakeholders as represented by the SCA members
- Share the District's vision/mission with a variety of representative groups
- Accurately represent the whole constituency
Membership
Membership in the SCA is appointed and is comprised of administrative staff, and various PTA, City and community representatives, including:
- PTA Council representatives
- City Council representative
- City representatives
- Youth and Family Services
- Parks and Recreation
- Police Department
- Community representatives
- Chamber of Commerce
- Rotary Club
- Kiwanis
- Mercer Island Clergy Association
- Mercer Island Schools Foundation
- Mercer Island Boys and Girls Club
- Stroum Jewish Community Center
- Medical Professionals
- Senior Citizens
- Real Estate Professionals
- Community Member(s) at Large
