K-5 Summer School

Elementary Summer School 2025 

We have taken the late winter and early spring to review our elementary summer school program; reviewing data, staffing, and costs. After careful consideration, MISD will not be offering an elementary summer school program in 2025. Instead, we will use this time to conduct a comprehensive review of our current summer school model. Our goal is to ensure that any future programs are better aligned with our academic priorities and truly meet the needs of our students in order to support measurable growth

We understand the importance of continued learning opportunities during the summer months and are committed to investigating a program that supports student growth in the most effective way possible. We appreciate your understanding as we take this time to reflect, plan, and improve.

In lieu of a summer school program, we have updated our website to include a variety of resources and community programming available to you throughout the summer. Should you wish to share an opportunity that you are aware of, please contact Heather Ross at heather.ross@mercerislandschools.org.
