K-5 Summer School

Learning Forward Summer School 2024 

This program is designed to support the academic skills of our current (2023-2024) kindergarten through 5th grade students in math and/or literacy.  Students will have the opportunity to develop skills in one or both areas, while having a great time in a fun, student-centered learning environment.

Since the Mercer Island School District is committed to the whole-child - social, emotional, academic, and physical growth, we will be offering extended services beyond the core academic experience in our afternoon enrichment program.

Afternoon enrichment activities may include cultural studies, animal studies, outdoor activities, fitness activities, arts and crafts and much more. During the afternoon session, children will be placed with a multi-aged group of students who will rotate to different enrichment activities each day. 

* Only students who are attending summer school may attend the afternoon enrichment program.
