Curriculum Review/Adoptions

Algebra 1/Geometry/Algebra 2 Textbook Adoption

The MIHS math department has been working to identify new core math textbooks for the past three years. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the adoption of new 6-8 math curricula in the past few years, they experienced a prolonged process. However, the committee will receive presentations from four identified vendors on November 3, 2022, and will have a text identified for proposal to the MISD Instructional Materials Committee at their January 17, 2023 meeting.

Biology Textbook Adoption

The MIHS science department plans to identify and adopt a new core textbook for Biology during the 22-23 school year. Here is a draft timeline for the process. The goal is for a new core text to be presented to the MISD Instructional Materials Committee at their March 21, 2023 meeting for approval.

MISD is currently seeking input on the two biology textbooks being considered for adoption at MIHS. The textbooks are available for in-person review and community input in the MIHS Administration Foyer between now and EOD on March 14, 2023. Community feedback on the two textbooks can be provided here
