Food Services Refunds and Transfers

Food Service balances can either be transferred to another student or refunded. Refunds are only available for balances over $5.00.

Please send and email to Food Services at Foodservices@mercerislandschools.org with the student’s name, student’s number (if available) and your request for transfer or refund.

For transfer, please include recipient student’s name.

For refund, please include your current address and confirm that auto replenish is inactive on the account.

Food Services Information

The USDA waivers that allowed schools to offer lunch at no cost to all students is no longer available to school districts. Therefore, we will be charging for lunch again starting this fall. All K-12 students who qualify are eligible for reduced or free lunch.

Submit a new 2024-25 application to qualify your students.

2024-25 Lunch Prices
The prices for lunch at our schools are listed below.

Elementary Student $4.30
IMS Student $4.55
Adult Lunch $5.30 (at both elementary and IMS)
MIHS – A La Carte $0.50 to $5.50

Food Payment Information
Families have several ways to pay for student meals. Students can bring a check to school to be put in their food services account. Families can also add money to their food service accounts online with the QR Code Below or through Family Access. There are instructions on our website for how to add funds to Family Access.

USDA Non-Discrimination Statement for Child Nutrition Programs

In accordance with federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation), disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity.

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, from any USDA office, by calling 866-632-9992 or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
