Welcome to the Island Park Elementary construction home page!

Island Park Elementary School is one of four elementary schools in the Mercer Island School District. It was originally built in 1956, with a small addition to the building in 1966. The architect on the original building was Bassetti and Morse Architects. Island Park was again modernized and received another small addition in 1995 by Erickson McGovern Architects. This addition filled in the internal courtyard to make more room for additional classrooms. During this remodel, the administration and front entry were also relocated to the east side of building where they are today. Today the building is around 49,000 sq.ft. and is home to over 400 students.
