The Mercer Island School District is utilizing the Parent Portal platform and the Bus Quest app to notify families when their school bus is arriving for pick up and drop off during the school day.

The tabs below give tutorials on how to create a Parent Portal account and download and use the Bus Quest app to receive notifications and track your bus.

Create Parent Portal Account To Identify Students Taking Bus

Families will first have to create a Parent Portal account. This needs to be done to identify your students that are riding a District bus to and from school. The family member that is the Primary contact in Skyward, our School Information System (SIS), should create the Parent Portal account.

The Primary contact in Skyward can create their account on this page.

If the Secondary family contact in Skyward, or the student, would like to have access to Parent Portal they can create an account and a verification code will be sent to the Primary contact in Skyward which can be shared to the Secondary contact or student.

Use Bus Quest App To Receive Notifications of Bus Arrival - Track Your Bus

After creating your Parent Portal account and identifying your students, you will need to download the Bus Quest app.

You will login into the Bus Quest App using the login you created for Parent Portal. Bus Quest connects with Parent Portal to identify your student or students taking the bus and you will see them when you log in to the app.

Within Bus Quest you can set up notifications for when your bus is arriving at your stop, see detailed route information, and make changes to your drop off and pick up area.
