Provide Input on Naming the MIHS Gym Floor/Court

Dear Mercer Island School District Friends, Families, Alumni, Students, and Community,
The Mercer Island School District, at the request of the School Board, created Board Policy 6970 BP to be used when considering naming district facilities. Many school districts and other agencies have such policies to assist when deciding whether and how to name a new facility, name an existing facility/portion of a facility, or rename a facility/portion of a facility.
The MISD Board of Directors has received a request to name the Mercer Island High School gym court/floor after former boys basketball coach Ed Pepple.
The District is seeking input from our community and alumni to assist the Naming Committee who will review the proposal to name the floor/court and present their recommendation to the Board later this fall.

The Mercer Island School District invites the Mercer Island community to attend the Mary Wayte Pool Renovation Celebration on Friday, January 30 from 3:30pm-5pm at Mary Wayte Pool to celebrate a symbol of community, pride, and partnership.

On Monday, November 10, MIHS will not have school. School will be held for middle and elementary students on November 10.
