MISD Collects 1200 Pounds of Plastic Film In One Week
Mercer Island, WA, June 15, 2023 – The Mercer Island School District community deserves a huge shout out for the amazing effort in collecting plastic film for Earth month.
We collected over 1200 pounds of plastic film in one week at our schools. This was 765 pounds more than last year.
This event raised awareness around climate change and educated our students and families on what their part looks like to have an impact in a positive way.
We appreciate the help from Ridwell for helping us keep this material out of the landfill.
Ridwell donated $25 to each school that signed up for Ridwell service during this event.
