Community Conversation and Listening Session with Board President Stephanie Burnett and Superintendent Dr. Fred Rundle

Dear Mercer Island Community,
Mercer Island School Board President Stephanie Burnett and Superintendent Dr. Fred Rundle will hold a Community Conversation and Listening Session on Monday, May 11 from 6pm-7pm in the MIHS Performing Arts Center (PAC).
This is an opportunity for community members to engage directly with both the School Board President and MISD Superintendent to ask questions and share perspectives on key issues facing the District. It is also an opportunity for Burnett and Rundle to actively listen to our community.
Community members will be able to ask questions using a provided microphone or they can submit a written question at the event. When community members enter the PAC there will be a table with note cards and pens on it. Community members wanting to submit a written question should write their question on a note card and hand it to a MISD staff member to give to Burnett and Rundle.
This event will be recorded and available on our YouTube channel on Tuesday, May 12.
We encourage all interested community members to participate and be part of this important dialogue.

Mercer Island School District Superintendent Dr. Fred Rundle recognized the District’s Employees of the Year, Retiring Staff, teachers earning National Board certification, and MISD staff with a years of service milestone in a ceremony Wednesday at Northwood Elementary.

Our Business and Finance staff and Washington State Auditors staff were all once middle school math students, simplifying and creating equivalent algebraic expressions to expand their knowledge of math.
