14 New EV Chargers Installed in MISD

EV charging locations at Mercer Island High School
Mercer Island, WA, April 29, 2025 – The Mercer Island School District is pleased to announce the installation of new electric vehicle (EV) chargers at Mercer Island School District locations.
There are now 10 Level 2 EV chargers available at Mercer Island High School and 4 additional chargers located in the back lot of the MISD Administration Building.
EV Charging locations at the MISD Administration Buildling
Charging is available to all MISD staff and students during school hours, and open to the public after hours.
This $170,000 project was fully funded by Puget Sound Energy’s Up & Go Electric for Business program. We’re proud to partner with PSE in supporting cleaner transportation options and contributing to a greener future by making EV charging more accessible at District locations.
To use the chargers, simply download the EV Connect app on iOS or Android.

The Mercer Island School District is extremely pleased to announce all four elementary schools are being recognized by the Washington School Recognition Program for supporting students' growth and academic achievement as measured by the schools Washington School Improvement Framework (WSIF) performance during the 2023-2024 school year.
