Asset Survey

  • Mercer Island School District uses the Search Institute's Attitudes and Behaviors survey (commonly referred to as the Asset Survey) to assess our high school students' external supports and internal strengths, key non-cognitive skills, high-risk behaviors, thriving indicators, and deficits.  The survey can give information about school climate, boundaries and expectations, structured time use, and behaviors to enable adults to better understand the youth voice in their community. This survey has been used with about 4 million youth across North America. The survey is administered in alternate years to students in all grades at Mercer Island High School.
