The Laramie Project Flyer
  • In October 1998 Matthew Shepard was kidnapped, severely beaten and left to die, tied to a fence on the outskirts of Laramie, Wyoming.  This event rocked the nation’s core, forcing it into action around hate crimes, bullying, and the intolerance and ignorance around homophobia. Five weeks later, Moisés Kaufman and fellow members of the Tectonic Theater Project went to Laramie and conducted more than 200 interviews with people of the town.  The Laramie Project is a chronicle of the life of the town of Laramie in the year after the murder.

Please join the MIHS Drama Department in their winter production, The Laramie Project, written by Moisés Kaufman and the Tectonic Theatre Project. Strong language and mature content: Recommended for audiences 13 years and older.
