Empowering children to grow into their potential and then use their education to develop a global mindset and serve others is a deeply rooted passion of mine. And I LOVE teaching fifth graders! This year is full of enriched knowledge and vibrant growth, as well as formative challenges and responsibilities.
About myself: Beyond my passion for kids and learning, I am a voracious reader, Husky fanatic, life-long believer in Disney magic, singer/dancer/performer, and world-traveler. I have lived in or near Seattle for most of my life and I feel most at home with my family and friends, surrounded by water and mountains with coffee cup in hand.
Hobbies- Reading, dancing, singing, spending time with family and friends, being outdoors (hiking, kayaking, exploring), and I absolutely love traveling!
Books- (Top 5) The Harry Potter series, Unbroken, The Book Thief, Same Kind of Different as Me, and The Secret Life of Bees.
Places- The San Juan Islands; Carmel, CA; Disneyland; Austria; Israel; Positano, Italy.
Sports- To watch: Pac-12 football (Go Dawgs!), Seahawks. To play: basketball.
Movies- Ratatouille, You've Got Mail, Midnight in Paris, Batman, Finding Neverland, and The Greatest Showman.
Drinks- Shirley Temple; vanilla latte
