    How to retain membership privileges once a member:
     
    Attendance at monthly meetings is required for ALL current members. You may miss one meeting per semester, attendance will be taken at all meetings.  If you miss more meetings than two per year you will be required to add 2 hours of service requirement for every meeting that you miss. 
     
    Applications: Applications for the 2019-2020 school year are now open until March 4th, 2019, 11:59PM

    The object of this chapter shall be to create and enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership and to encourage the development of character in all students of MIHS. Candidates shall have a minimum accumulative high school scholastic achievement of 3.5 and have completed three semesters of high school. A 3.5 GPA must be maintained or a student will be put on probation for one semester. Only one probationary period is allowed.
     
    Activities of the National Honor Society include:
    Senior Awards Night: Honors graduating seniors for their academic achievements, giving special recognition to those receiving scholarships and other awards. Included are the National Honor Society members and students receiving the Presidential Academic Fitness Awards and Washington State Honors Award.
    Two National Honor Society members are also eligible in competing for a $1000 National Honor Society Scholarship.
