MIHS 2020 Graduation - Drive-thru Graduation

  • The MIHS Class of 2020 Graduation, with 380+graduates, is still set to occur on June 9. Because of the pandemic, it will be the first of its kind, a 'drive-thru' graduation.

Wearing caps and gowns, graduates will arrive at the high school's main entrance in their cars with their family members. They will drive all the way to the back of the campus where a stage will be set up. The graduate will emerge from the car, step on stage, receive a diploma cover, turn the cap tassel, have a picture taken, return to the car, and drive off campus.

In addition, Drive-thru Graduation will be broadcast live from 9am to 3pm on KMIH 889 The Bridge. Listen locally on 88.9 FM or stream KMIH from anywhere in the world at 889thebridge.org!

That evening, graduates will be able to watch a virtual graduation ceremony at home with their families. The virtual video will include speeches, a tassel toss, and a personalized slideshow of every graduate. We will have a link emailed out to the public in the afternoon of June 9th for people to access the virtual graduation. All graduation details have been communicated through Schoology and School Messenger and will continue to be emailed to graduates and their families.

Also, check out our graduating seniors' pictures that are on a display board in front of the high school. We are eager for you all to celebrate and honor this year's Class of 2020!
