    2022 Elementary Learning Forward Summer School Information

    We are preparing for an exciting learning and enrichment experience for our elementary students this summer.
    The 2022 summer program will be offered in person only.

    Learning Forward Summer School

    Summer School Days (14 days)
    • June 27 - July 1 (M-F)
    • July 5 - 8 (T-F)
    • July 11 - 15 (M-F)
    Daily Schedule:
    • 9:00 am - 10:30 am – Literacy
    • 10:30 am - 10:45 am – Break
    • 10:45 am - 12:15 pm – Mathematics
    Location: Northwood Elementary
    • Parents must pick up their child promptly after the final session enrolled
    • Parents should provide a snack and water
    Summer school has two sessions each day; literacy and math. Students may be signed up for one or both sessions.
    • Literacy only - $300 per student
    • Math only - $300 per student
    • Both literacy and math - $600 per student

    Students may miss one or more days and still take part in the program. Missing days will, however, impact his/her overall benefit. Additionally, the District does not prorate the cost of participation based on student attendance.

    Optional Social Emotional Learning and Enrichment

    Social-Emotional Learning & Enrichment School Days (14 days):

    • June 27 - July 1
    • July 5 - 8
    • July 11 - 15


    • $300 per student

    The purpose of the afternoon SEL and enrichment:

    The afternoon SEL and enrichment is completely optional. Fewer slots are available for this portion of the program. We are still working out details on the exact programming, but we will offer extended services beyond the core academic experience explained above. This was a very successful addition to summer school last year and we look forward to another great program this year.

    • Extended Day Experiences- June 27-July 15
      • 12:15 to 1:00- lunch and recess (students bring their own lunch)
      • 1:00 to 3:00- enrichment
      • We are considering providing enrichment activities such as Physical Movement and Exercise, Art, and Legos each afternoon following the core academic morning.

    Registration and Payment

    Learning Forward Summer School registration will first open to students the District has nominated for services. Pending space availability, the District will open up registration to others. At that time, the link will be added to the website.

    *Priority registration will be given to students the district has nominated to attend.

    Making a Payment

    Once your child has been registered, a payment link will be sent to you. At that time, please follow the instructions to complete the payment process.
