    Dear Lakeridge Families,

Welcome to 2017!  It has been great to get back into the swing of school, learning, friends, and routines the past couple weeks.  As always, please remind your students to dress for the weather – it’s been cold and rainy this month.

Character Trait of the Month – Perseverance

See the video clip of students talking about what it means to persevere:

     Perseverance

MISH student creates handmade Valentine cards to support MIYFS

Mercer Island High School student Ellery Island combines her love of Valentine's Day, crafts, kids and community in a unique way: she produces handmade Valentine cards and is selling them to benefit Mercer Island Youth and Family Services, an organization that helps many kids and families in need.

You can buy one card or enough for your child's whole class - anything helps! Visit the MI Valentines From the Heart website to learn more about this project and order your cards.

End of the day – Picking up students – Reminder

Please see the attached graphic of how the Kiss & Go lane works for student pick-up.  Please do not turn directly into the pick-up loop.  You must first turn right into the parking lot across the street from the school and get in line to then enter the pick-up loop.  Please ensure that anyone that picks your students up knows the pick-up procedures.  Thank you for helping to keep our system running smoothly!
