Mercer Island schools – A community investment
UPDATE: The Mercer Island Community approved both proposition measures in February 2014.
In February 2014 two schools propositions were approved by Mercer Island voters. The first is a $98.8 million bond proposition which will fund three projects to address overcrowding in our schools. The second proposition is a four-year renewal of the maintenance and operations levy. The levy provides 26 percent of the district general operating budget, including funding for about 100 teachers and other staff.

Notice: The Mercer Island School District is hereby providing notice and inviting community members to write statements for and against the proposed bond and levy for the special election local voters’ pamphlet. All materials must be submitted to King County Elections by 4:30 p.m. on the due dates below.

- Dec. 31, 2013: Pro and Con Statements
- Jan. 3, 2014: Pro and Con Rebuttal Statements
