Ralph Jorgenson has a research and entrepreneurial background and has worked primarily in the fields of scientific instrumentation and medical device development. He holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Washington and has conducted research in the fields of chemical and biochemical sensing, resulting in a number of scientific publications, patents and commercial entities. Prior to being appointed to the school board, Ralph served as the VP of Advocacy for the PTA Council, the Co-Chair of the 2014 School Bond and M&O Levy Campaign, and a number of other school volunteer roles. He and his wife have two children who are students in the District.
